How does one person lead an organization and facilitate change? There is no standard process. In fact, it can be complex, frustrating and confusing. The agent of change may have to adopt a variety of approaches – some planned, structured and explicit, and others more organic, unfolding and implicit. This highly interactive workshop is designed to not only help participants to grow personally and professionally but also to provide them with a toolkit, full of useful ideas and tools for handling all kinds of organizations, people and situations.

The workshop discusses the four ‘seasons’ that every organization experiences, and the different type of leadership skills necessary for handling them.

  • Winter: Initiation and Assessment
  • Spring: Preparing to Act and Getting Buy-In
  • Summer: Putting the Plan into Action
  • Fall: Harvest and Celebration

Using the analogy of a garden, this workshop demonstrates the various tools that every leader must be familiar with in order to confidently lead their organization to fulfill its mandate.

  • Sunshine: Insight and Ideas – nothing grows without sunlight
  • Spade: Useful tools for preparation and assessment – All ground needs to be prepared before it can be used
  • Water: Processes to fuel growth – All plants need fuel to grow
  • Rake: Problems to watch out for – Weeding is essential to make room for plant growth
