Capacity Builders is overseeing the creation and implementation of Food n More, a community-wide social enterprise that brings together over 25 social agencies and community groups, the food industry and all levels of government to address a terrible problem in our community – HUNGER. Bill Locke serves as the Manager of the Coalition responsible for the Food n More Project. This cross-sectoral coalition will provide joint procurement, centralized warehousing and community-wide distribution of food to vulnerable Calgarians in every neighbourhood.
The City of Calgary is contributing $420,000 and the Province of Alberta is providing $750,000 towards this three-year initiative.
