Capacity Builders helped Sinneave Family Foundation to develop the Worktopia project – a four year, $20 million initiative with $11.4 million contributed from the Government of Canada. This employment and skills development project for youth and young adults on the Autism Spectrum is being implemented in 12 major centres across Canada.  Capacity Builders managed all federal government relations, proposal development and initial project planning.

“One of the best predictors of long-term stable employment is a history of part-time and volunteer work acquired during our teenage years. Many young people with ASD don’t get this opportunity and [Worktopia] will help thousands of young Canadians get this important experience. We are very pleased to be part of bringing the program to Canada,” says Tom Collins, former President of the Sinneave Family Foundation.
